WeCom

Once you connect WeCom, Aureink acts as a bot that replies to messages automatically in WeCom. WeCom is an open-platform channel: you need to create a bot on the open platform, obtain credentials, and then come back to Aureink to fill them in and connect.

1 · Overview

Connection method: create an app (credentials needed). Compared with QR-code channels, WeCom requires you to provide a set of the bot’s connection credentials; once configured, Aureink uses them to send and receive messages on WeCom.

2 · Before you connect

  • Bot-creation rights on the WeCom open platform — you need to be able to create a bot on the open platform and read its credentials.
  • Have the credential details ready — after creating the bot you’ll get three items: Bot ID, Secret, and WebSocket URL.
  • Keep the client running — the Aureink desktop client must be online for the bot to keep sending and receiving messages.

3 · Create a bot on the open platform

  1. Sign in to the WeCom open platform and create a bot app.
  2. Follow the platform’s guide to complete the bot’s basic configuration.
  3. Go to the bot’s credentials/connection info page and get ready to copy the three parameters needed in the next section.

4 · Obtain credentials

Copy the following three items from the bot page on the open platform. These three are equivalent to the bot’s identity, so keep them safe and never leak them; to change them, regenerate them on the open platform:

  • Bot ID — the bot’s identifier, found on the bot details page.
  • Secret — the bot’s secret key, found on the bot credentials page.
  • WebSocket URL — the persistent-connection address, found on the bot connection info page.

5 · Fill them into Aureink and connect

  1. Open Settings → Channels and click Connect on the WeCom card.
  2. Scan to configure — follow the on-page guide and scan to complete the configuration.
  3. Fill in the credentials — enter Bot ID, Secret, and WebSocket URL.
  4. Set a default Agent — bind a default Agent to this channel to greet messages with that Agent’s persona and capability scope.
  5. Submit and establish the connection.

6 · Verify the connection

To tell whether it’s connected, check two things:

  • Status shows “Connected” — the channel card’s status changes to “Connected.”
  • Send a test message and watch for a reply — send the bot a line and see whether it replies as expected.

Only when both hold is it truly connected.

7 · Important notes

Important notes

  • Credential security — Bot ID / Secret / WebSocket URL are equivalent to the bot’s identity; keep them safe and never leak them, and change them promptly on the open platform if leaked.
  • Permission boundaries — the bot speaks on your behalf in WeCom, so it’s best to validate on a small scale before opening it up.
  • Messages can’t be unsent — a message that has been sent cannot be recalled.
  • Quota usage — auto-replies continuously consume usage quota.
