Task management
Every task is saved as a conversation, so you can revisit it, pick it back up, and switch contexts at any time. This page covers how to quickly find the one you want among many conversations and manage their states.
1 · Conversation list & states
The left sidebar lists your conversations by time. Each conversation moves between states as it runs:
- Running — the task is executing.
- Done — this run has finished; you can keep asking follow-ups.

2 · Search & locate
When you have a lot of conversations, use search to find one fast. Press ⌘/Ctrl + K to open global search, and type a keyword to search across your conversation history.

3 · Common actions
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| New conversation | ⌘/Ctrl + N, or click New in the sidebar |
| Rename | Double-click the conversation title |
| Pin / unpin | Right-click or hover actions on the conversation |
| Delete | Hover actions on the conversation (running conversations can’t be deleted) |
| Switch workspace / organization | Switch at the top of the sidebar (personal ↔ organization) |
Continue an existing task: Open any finished conversation and keep asking in the input box — Aureink picks up the original context and carries on. This suits scenarios like “the weekly report from last time, but do another one for a different month.”
4 · Background tasks & exit protection
Longer tasks can move to the background and keep running, so you can start other work at the same time.
Notes & key reminders
- Exit protection: If a background task is running, quitting the app prompts a second confirmation, so you don’t close it and interrupt the task by mistake.
- Deletion is irreversible: Deleting a conversation also clears its conversation history — proceed with care.
