Once you connect WhatsApp, Aureink can reply to messages automatically inside your WhatsApp, and you can also trigger processing by messaging yourself. WhatsApp uses QR-code login and needs no credentials, making it one of the fastest channels to get running.
1 · Overview
Connection method: scan a QR code. The whole process takes just one scan with WhatsApp on your phone — Aureink joins as an already-logged-in device, and from then on it sends and receives messages automatically on that account.
2 · Before you connect
- Keep the client running — the Aureink desktop client must be online for the channel to keep sending and receiving messages.
- A working phone — a phone already logged in to WhatsApp, used to scan the code.
- Network reachable — make sure WhatsApp’s service can be reached normally.
3 · QR-code login
- Open Settings → Channels, click Connect on the WhatsApp card, and the page shows a QR code.
- In WhatsApp on your phone, go to “Linked Devices,” and scan the QR code on the screen.
- After a successful scan, wait a moment for the connection to establish; the page shows the connection health status.

4 · Behavior settings after connecting
Once connected, you can configure how Aureink behaves on this account as needed:
- Auto-reply — when on, incoming messages are answered automatically by the AI.
- Self-chat trigger — message yourself to trigger processing, letting you use your own chat as a command entry point.
- Default send conversation — designate a default conversation to send to; proactive messages or results go here by default.

5 · Verify the connection
To tell whether it’s connected, check two things:
- Connection status is healthy — the page’s connection health status shows normal.
- Send a test message and watch for a reply — send yourself (or the designated conversation) a line, and see whether Aureink replies automatically as expected.
Only when both hold is it truly connected.
6 · Maintenance and self-healing
While the channel is running it records a maintenance log to help you troubleshoot send/receive issues; when the connection fluctuates it supports session self-healing and tries to recover automatically. If it doesn’t recover for a long time, return to the connection page and scan to log in again.
7 · Important notes
Important notes
- Permission boundaries — once connected, the AI sends and receives messages on behalf of this WhatsApp account of yours, so only enable auto-reply in scenarios you’re sure about.
- Messages can’t be unsent — a message that has been sent cannot be recalled; it’s best to try the self-chat trigger on a small scale first.
- Stay online — when the Aureink client is offline the channel can’t send or receive; keep it running for long-term use.
- Quota usage — every auto-reply consumes usage quota.
