FAQ
Frequently asked questions, organized by topic. If you can’t find an answer, head back to the relevant chapter for a more detailed explanation.
1 · About the product
How is Aureink different from an ordinary chat tool?
An ordinary chat tool answers questions; Aureink moves work forward: it uses the context you authorize (files, workspace, organization knowledge) to understand the task, calls Skills to carry out actions, delivers results you can sign off on directly, and leaves a full record of the process. In a word — chat gives you suggestions, Aureink gets the work done.
What can it generate?
Most of the deliverables that everyday office work needs: reports, summaries, spreadsheets, charts, diagrams, email drafts, process execution results, structured follow-up lists, and more. You just state the result you want and leave the planning and execution to it.
Can non-technical teams use it?
Yes. You only need to describe the result you want in a single sentence — no complex operations to learn. Permissions, deployment, data boundaries, and available capabilities are all configured centrally by your company, so employees can use it out of the box.
2 · About using it
Do I need to bring my own model API key?
In most cases, no. Aureink already provides model access, compute, and scheduling — you just use it. Only when you have special requirements, such as a dedicated model or custom infrastructure, do you need to plan for it separately at the deployment stage (see Deployment).
Can’t log in / told I don’t have permission?
- Symptom: Unable to log in, or told after logging in that you don’t have permission.
- Cause: An account must be authorized before it can be used; if it hasn’t been added to the allowed scope, it gets blocked.
- What to do: Contact your organization admin, confirm the account is authorized, then log in again.
Enterprise knowledge isn’t taking effect?
- Symptom: Enterprise knowledge is turned on, but the task didn’t reference the material it should have.
- Cause: Enterprise knowledge requires three conditions at once — being in organization mode, having the toggle on, and being granted the corresponding knowledge base space.
- What to do: First confirm you’ve switched to organization mode and turned the enterprise knowledge toggle on; if retrieval still fails, it’s most likely that the knowledge base space hasn’t been authorized for your department or role — ask your admin to adjust it in Console (see Enterprise knowledge).
3 · About security and data
Will it access files it shouldn’t?
No. Aureink only works within authorized files and workspaces and won’t proactively scan other directories. Its access scope can be further configured by dimensions such as team, role, folder, workspace, task type, and Skill.
Can the process be reviewed afterward?
Yes. Aureink keeps the inputs, steps, tool calls, confirmation actions, and outputs for you to review and audit after the fact, rather than giving you only a result.
Why the emphasis on being controllable and auditable?
Because enterprises need more than “an AI that can execute” — they also need to know what it accessed, why it produced what it did, and whether it can be reviewed. Being controllable and auditable is exactly what makes enterprises comfortable putting AI to work (see Data & compliance).
4 · About organization and management
What deployment options are there?
Three: Domestic public cloud (fast start), Dedicated mainland compute (clearer data path), and Private deployment (your own environment). Choose by cost and compliance requirements (see Deployment).
Told there are no seats when adding a member?
- Symptom: When adding a member, you’re told “the organization has no available seats.”
- Cause: The organization’s seats are all used up.
- What to do: Ask your admin to add seats, or first deactivate members no longer in use to free up seats (see Members & departments).
Enterprise knowledge isn’t taking effect (admin side)?
If you’ve confirmed that the employee is already in organization mode with the toggle on but retrieval still fails, check the knowledge base space in Console: has the corresponding knowledge base been authorized for that member’s department or role? Authorization follows Console; the client cannot expand the scope on its own.
