Getting started

Your first task

Start your first task

Read the interface, assign a real task, and get results — this page walks you through one run end to end. We recommend following along as you read.

1 · Start a task

  1. In the activity bar, click Chat to open the home screen.
  2. Pick a work mode (for example “Write docs” or “Data analysis”), or just describe the outcome you want in the input box.
  3. If the task needs your files, click + → Attach file to add them, or drag files straight into the input box.
  4. Press Enter to send.

A good starter example: “Take the key points from this PDF and turn them into a one-page summary, organized into three sections — Conclusions / To-dos / Risks.”

2 · Watch it work

After you send, Aureink gets to work. You’ll see:

  • Its thinking trace;
  • The tools it’s calling (reading files, generating documents, and so on);
  • When a sensitive action is involved, a permission confirmation pops up, and you can allow it once or deny it.

3 · View and save the results

  • Results appear in the conversation, and the full output goes to the result panel on the right.
  • In the result panel you can copy, export, and save it locally.
  • If it’s not quite right, just follow up: “make it shorter” or “turn it into a table”.

4 · Keep going or start a new task

  • To go deeper, follow up in the same conversation and Aureink picks up with the context.
  • To start something new, press ⌘/Ctrl + N for a new conversation.
  • Longer tasks can run in the background while you do something else.

Congratulations — you’ve completed your first task. Next, get to know each part of the workflow systematically, starting with Create a task →
