Channels overview

Channels connect Aureink to external instant-messaging platforms — WhatsApp, Feishu, WeCom, Weixin — so the AI can reply automatically on those platforms and send proactive messages when needed. Think of a channel as one of several “entry points” that Aureink grows: no matter which IM someone uses to reach you, Aureink can catch and handle the message on that end. The entry point is at Settings → Channels.

1 · Common capabilities

No matter which platform you connect, every channel offers a shared set of capabilities:

  • Auto-reply — once a message arrives, the AI answers automatically, with no need for you to be present in real time.
  • Context isolation — different conversations and different groups stay independent and never bleed into one another.
  • Handled by an Agent — you can bind a default Agent to a channel, so it greets people with that Agent’s persona and capability scope.
  • Proactive messages — some channels let Aureink initiate messages (controlled by authorized targets and time windows).

2 · Supported channels

ChannelHow to connectCredentials needed
WhatsAppScan a QR codeNo
Feishu BotScan to create an appYes
WeComCreate an appYes
WeixinScan a QR codeNo

QR-code channels take few steps and need no credentials — scan once and you’re connected; open-platform channels require you to first create an app on the corresponding platform and obtain credentials, then come back to Aureink to fill them in and connect.

3 · Where to start

  • Start with the QR-code channels (WhatsApp, Weixin) for the fastest path — scan and go, ideal for getting a feel for it first.
  • To use it in a team / company group, choose Feishu Bot or WeCom; you can bind a default Agent and set a group policy.

Each channel has its own page with the full steps for its connection method. We suggest starting with the next page, WhatsApp.

4 · Important notes

Important notes

  • Permission boundaries — a channel lets the AI send and receive messages on your behalf on an external platform, so authorize with care and only connect the platforms and conversations you truly need.
  • Messages can’t be unsent — a message that has been sent cannot be recalled; be especially careful to validate proactive-message capabilities on a small scale first.
  • Credential security — open-platform channels involve app credentials; keep them safe and never leak them (see each platform’s page).
  • Quota usage — every auto-reply in a channel consumes usage quota; watch out in high-frequency group scenarios.
