Memory
Memory is the “long-term memory” that Aureink maintains automatically across conversations. It is like a colleague who accumulates knowledge — the more you use it, the better it knows you: your role, preferences, what you’re working on, and the rules you’ve given are all recorded and automatically carried into later conversations, so you don’t have to restate your background every time.
1 · Overview
Traditional AI conversations “forget after each use” — every new conversation means introducing yourself from scratch. Memory solves exactly this: it distills information that stays useful across conversations into a few files, so each answer fits you a little better than the last.
Memory serves you entirely, and stays entirely under your control: you can view and delete any piece of memory at any time, from Settings → Memory. Memory’s automatic updates consume a small amount of quota, a normal cost of everyday use.
2 · The four kinds of memory files
Under Settings → Memory, memory is organized into four kinds of files by purpose. Aureink decides during conversations which information is worth keeping long term and updates the corresponding file automatically:
〔Figure: the Settings → Memory page, highlighting the four kinds of memory files and the view/edit/clear entry points〕
| Memory file | What it records |
|---|---|
| User Profile | Who you are: role, position, common preferences, and work habits. |
| Project Context | What you’re working on: the current project, goals, constraints, and background. |
| Behavior Rules | The rules and feedback you’ve given: how to do things, and how not to. |
| References | Pointers to external resources: frequently used materials, links, and sources. |
- Automatic updates — when information worth remembering long term comes up in a conversation, Aureink files it under the right file, with no manual entry needed.
- Intervene anytime — for each kind of file you can view / edit / clear it, so the content is always transparent and editable.
3 · How to use Memory
Memory works in the background by default; just converse normally. When you need to manage it, follow the steps below:
- View — go to Settings → Memory and review, kind by kind, what Aureink has remembered.
- Edit — directly modify inaccurate or outdated entries so later answers follow the new content.
- Clear — clear the corresponding file when you no longer want to keep it; once cleared, that part of memory no longer affects answers.

Tip: to make a preference take effect long term, just say it clearly in the conversation (e.g. “from now on, use this template for weekly reports”), and Aureink will distill it into Behavior Rules or User Profile.
4 · Important notes
Important notes
- Affects later answers: memory content is carried into later conversations and influences results, so watch for outdated or inaccurate entries and edit them promptly.
- Clearing is irreversible: clearing a kind of memory file cannot be undone; confirm before you proceed.
- Personal and organization modes are independent: personal use and use under an organization keep their memory isolated and do not read each other’s, so memory is not mixed across identities when you switch.
- Quota consumption: memory’s automatic updates consume a small amount of usage quota.
Disclaimer: memory is used to make answers fit your situation better, and its content is formed jointly by you and Aureink during conversations. You have full rights to view and delete memory, so manage it as you see fit.
